I'm a little confused. First you say that you can get the Wagyu experience at a fraction of the price by buying from Costco and that Costco is better than Safeway. I thought you said it all tasted the same. If that is the case, why not just buy from Safeway or wherever its cheaper? Also, how are you able to tell what high quality is if it all tastes the same? What in your mind makes Costoco beef superior to Safeway beef?

By you acknowledging that Costco beef is better than Safeway, is there a difference? Sounds like they way you are describing it, " Costco beef is much better than safeway" and "Costco just has such high quality food, it's amazing. The juiciness, flavor, and tenderness of these New York steaks... " you are stating there is a difference. I think you said somewhere that you didn't even like Wagyu because it tasted like a stick of butter (if you meant very rich, i agree). So are you now saying that since the Costco beef is "every bit as good as Wagyu" that it too is very buttery and juicy?

I'm not in any position to tell you what steak or cut of meat you will like. I can't justify the price difference between Wagyu and other beef. Or even say I had a beef from Safeway to compare to the Costco meat you enjoy so much. I find it pretty amusing though that you say it all tastes the same but then you say that Costco is better than Safeway beef and that the Costco beef is as good as Wagyu.

I think the difference you experience between Costco and Safeway is at least the difference other people experience between Waygu and domestic beef.
