All this talk of Mileage Runs makes me tingle, and the 55,555 point reward makes me almost want to do it...

#1. I -think- an openjaw is where I book ONE ticket that is YYC -> YYZ and YYZ -> YYC, and where I book ANOTHER ticket that's YYZ -> LHR and LHR -> YYZ ... Right?

If so, is that allowed for the 55,555 bonus?

#2. starpr.com says that the 55,555 bonus is for ANY Star Alliance mileage program. So, even though I'm flying BMI or Varig, I can still get errorplan points?

#3. I'm looking to do this from YYC, so I imagine that an ideal itinerary that would max out points [I can travel between May 22 and June 15] would look something like:

YYC-YYZ [AC]
YYZ-MAD [AC - double]
MAD-CPH [SAS]
CPH-LHR [Varig]
LHR-MAD [bmi]
MAD-YYZ [AC - double]
YYZ-ORD [UA]
ORD-YYC [AC].

That routing is looking expensive any way that I calculate it. Any other ideas?! [I've tried itn, united.com, travelocity.ca, and I still can't find the fares that you guys do ]

#4. Do I have to book at a minimum fare class [I was reading H somewhere], or can I book at L, Q, or even Z?!

[I apologize for my newbie questions...]

Thanks again for your help.. I might even see a few of you along the way!

Ollie

[[ edited: forgot a link in routing and a question. I'm silly ]]
