I just signed up for ExpertFlyer. Their Fare Information tool is helpful but how do I then find if that exact fare is avaiable? I see booking classes for that fare avaiable but not sure how to find the exact Fare Basis.

P.S. Just because I find a fare on ITA doesn't mean that there will necessiarly be availability at that rate correct? I was checking DL to from DTW to SJU so a friend could go with. ITA show's the same matching fare as AA ~$275 but when I try and book on Delta.com the actual lowest available fare is close to twice that at $532 AI.
If you go to SJU, there is a nice Sheraton there with a neat 'waterfront' location (actually across the street from the water).Don't book the Sheraton Hotel & Casino as it's near the convention center but nothing else interesting.

It's tough when you 'only' need 2500 miles as the best low CPM routes I've found have been transcons. So you'd need to position to a coast and then do a R/T from there. But that's many more miles than you need (I do SEA-DFW-BOS to meet up with friends and its clocks in at ~6400 for $300). I'd just find a good fare that gets you the miles you need at a mostly reasonable price and not focus too much on CPM since, for you, its only a small price for keeping EXP and all its benefits.
