This happened to a friend and I outside the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. After the guy got done with his spiel, my friend said "that's a great story, here's $5". Didn't get "taken" for much as we knew it was bs to begin with as a matter of fact, I didn't get "taken" for anything as my friend was the one who gave him money.
$5 to me would be taken..
I guess its better to lose a little than to lose alot.
I get asked for money all the time.. I just say, "I support charities, and get a tax receipt.. Those charities are there to help you out.."
