Did you run this by the location manager? In my experience problems like this are usually quickly resolved with a refund and a customer service voucher for future rental.
I guess I should have but I get tired to fight for services expected and not provided ...
Being on the road every week does not help but on top of that I usually show up in MCI at Midnight on Sunday and run back to the Terminal on Thursdays (late). I will probably send an email to at least avoid comments that are not commercially acceptable ... at least better lies
