At this point it looks as though WS is only interested in code-sharing with as many partners as possible, similar to AS.

Other than AMS, you don't mention where else in Europe you fly to. Remember that AY and IB also fly to YYZ.

There's one problem with that. WS doesn't fly to JFK(only EWR) and AA doesn't fly to Europe via EWR. AA only codeshare's on BA metal to LHR.

I wouldn't recommend flying AA to AMS as it would require the extra hassle of preclearing in Canada, transferring from T3 to T5 in LHR, in addition to customs/immigration in LHR and AMS.

BA out of YYZ would be the most hassle free as you won't have to pre-clear or transfer terminals in LHR since you arrive in T5.
