I just applied for two family members. The online status checker (
https://www262.americanexpress.com/eaol/welcome.do ) showed the first person's status (approved) as of the first time I checked, which was the next day. The second person, now three days later, doesn't show up as having applied. In other words, they don't necessarily show as having been rejected nor approved... it's just that no reference to the recent app is made at all. I'm sure the card app (at least appeared to be) submitted okay, and I know I'm checking the correct person because an older approved app shows up via the checker when I enter their SS#/Zip. So my question boils down to this: Is there a proper scenario where an app won't show up at all via the checker for a few days, or should it always show promptly? I'm hoping that its just that the app is in some kind of limbo, not that it failed to submit. Thanks.
