I agree being able to go through security without shoes off, computer out or liquid out ridiculous rules, as is done in the rest of the World, is a step up. Now why should this opportunity only be available for a selected few? Why not do the best thing the TSA has done to everyone?
And I really don't see why this is cause for excitement or praise. Woo hoo, a very small fraction of travellers in the US are treated like the rest of the world treats people. Tough luck for most of the rest of the passengers including anyone who is 'different', such as the disabled, people with physical issues, or furriners.
