China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in the People's Republic of China, has the highest travel-agent commission -- 15 percent -- paid by any major trans-Pacific carrier between the United States and China, according to a report by Travel Weekly Magazine.
China Southern Airlines' commission of 15 percent is now available through the end of the year 2000 and is offered without a commission cap.
"China Southern Airlines is pleased to offer the highest travel- agent commission of any trans-Pacific carrier to China," said Wei Jia Liao, general manager, Los Angeles.
Liao added that China Southern Airlines also offers its 15 percent commission on the continued through journey from Guangzhou to more than 60 mainland China destinations, including Beijing and Shanghai. The entire journey must be on China Southern only and must include the airline's trans-Pacific segment.
