OT: Advice on who to fly with to Australia (in economy)
Hi guys,

Sorry for going OT but could do with some advice from some of the more frequent travellers out there!
So I need to fly to Perth in December (never been to Australia before) and prices are very expensive! My TA has found me deals on Singapore Airlines and Cathay. (I have no status with BA anyway). I took advantage of the AMEX plat cathay gold option and also have a PP card.

So given that what would you do? Obviously, Singapore have the (slightly) shorter total flight time and the benefit of flying on the A380. While cathay, I can use the cathay lounge, use business class check in and the slightly better possibility of getting upgrade.

Pricewise they are the same.

What would you do?
