It is further apart than the aisle width in coach; maybe that gives you some perspective about how spoiled some F flyers are. Those seats are several feet apart. It is possible to hold hands between those seats, but only barely. Similarly barely possible to carry on a conversation. While 2A/K are about 5 feet apart. The whole discussion about F seats and difference between 744 and 777, etc. is absurd, when compared to J or Y it ranges from "better than you believed possible" to "far better than you believed possible" and is that any better, really? I say that, having come off a far, far, far better than I believed possible flight.
