So I've never done a MR before. I will be about 2000-2500 miles short of EXP on AA this year after all my flights. I have some free time so I thought I would try for my first ever MR! From reading around I believe the tools I should be using are the FareCompare link specifically for FT and the ITA Matrix? Unfortunately, I never seem to find anything below .06CPM with either of these tools. Am I doing anything wrong? Most people seem to be finding fares at about .04CPM and sometimes even as low as .03CPM. Is it simply just due to DTW being a smaller market or that I'm looking for AA/OW fares out of a Delta hub? Any help is appreciated in finding better MR possibilities out of DTW. Budget I'd like to keep under $400 but really since I only need 2500 miles max at a CPM of even .04 that's really only a $100 isn't it? Is that even possible?
