Depends on where you are, how long you've been away and the odds being in that place again. I was in Japan earlier this year on a fluke and knew I'd probably never be back so I scheduled a few extra days to see around and we finished early so I lucked out with several days. Conversely, after spending a month in Warsaw, there was no place looking better than home!
