I think you need to take a look at your own behavior. When the purser was called & agreed with the F/A's assessment, you probably were in the wrong. If a F/A tells you you're a horse, you can scratch your head. When the purser tells you you're a horse, go buy a saddle! Do you want to be right or not written up?

9-hours in economy is uncomfortable for anyone. Any seat I'm in I immediately recline at wheels up. The upright position bothers my lower back. I recline then extend my legs under the seat in front of me; often put my backpack on the floor as a ottoman. Or on such a long flight, I go to rear of plane & just stand for a while.
