Sorry, this sort of excuse just doesn't cut it with me. If you have two runners call in sick, start calling other staff to come in or ask someone to stay over and work OT. This kind of excuse is just bad management. The hotel thought they could get away with something and it failed. I don't give bad hotels my business no matter how much I like SPG or the chain. This is one of about two SPG hotels (Sheraton Heathrow being the other) I have blacklisted.
