Thanks for encouragement. I'm in London mostly, flying mainly to Hong Kong/Australia. Can't see any way to get a European address short of actually moving there, so it's going to be 600 TPs. (I guess I need to read the long thread about Avios, but a Bronze level might make it easier as someone has said)

Ex-EU is interesting, I was going to do QF domestic or short hops on CX to make up the shortfall, but this may make it easier. Even in Y I'd still get 40 extra TPs (if flying BA to the origin) right? The thing is if I am flying economy I would definitely want direct flights but premium classes may make it more fun to stay in the air.

And yeah I didn't think about this before, but it seems the consensus here is that WT+ to CW is the best use of miles, so that might make paying more worth it as well.
