If 10 long hauls a year means 5 return trips, 10 legs total then that would get you 300TPs, just 100 short of euro silver (you would need a european address you can use). Switching 3 legs to WT+ even by paying at the airport on the day of travel (usually £179 if available, or local currency equivalent) would get you euro silver.
Of course this may all change come November when the exec club is played with, however the hints have been that it will get easier, not harder.
In my opinion going for silver would be well worth it, you would get lounge access on every one world flight, extra luggage allowance on BA (and AA and Iberia I believe), to use business checkin and avoid the queues, fast track security (at a lot of airports, not all) and a big miles earning boost on every flight.
If you switch two of your return booking to WT+ and choose them well you can MFU them to CW and still get the TPs. Thus making the extra cost of WT+ very god value.
