Well, this is China, and those of you who know the place, understand that despite well-laid plans, things don't work out and you need to have that Plan B in the hip pocket and ready to go. Due to the various constraints and needs of the participants, which I'll explain when I see you, we have simplified the meet-up. Here's Plan B:

Sunday the 9th is still on. We will drop the general Enoterra happy hour meetup prior to dinner. We will change dinner venues to Xiheyayuan Restaurant. The table reservation starts at 6:15 and I will be there by then. Ordering still needs to be done, and whoever is there to help me between 6:15 and 6:25 gets a say in the menu; otherwise, you'll need to trust me. A duck will be served at 6:40 and the rest of the dishes will come out right after that. So there's a bit of grace time for those of you needing to get to the venue after work or coming from a distance. This restaurant is much more reasonable in cost vs the initial choices, and was more willing to accommodate our group.

We will have a nice size group of 10 people! Myself, fimo, Susiesan and husband, Jiatong + partner + daughter, trueblu + wife + daughter. I'm trying to contact each of you personally as well (fimo, help me out here and acknowledge you've got this message.) @trueblu: restaurant will have a high chair for your little one.

Location: Still accessible by Line 10, but this time use Liangmaqiao station, Exit A (NW). Go up the escalator to the outside rather than into the Citymall connector. Once outside, head a few steps to the corner and (stay on the sidewalk), turn 90 degrees right so the 3rd Ring Road is behind you. Start walking west--CityMall will be on your right. As you get near the last 60 feet of the building, there is an open breezeway on the ground floor. A huge "Gavin Style" sign is above and offset a bit from the breezeway. Walk into it. Just after you pass the Missoni shop on the left side, there's an elevator lobby. Go in and head up to the 3rd floor. Out the elevator to your left, curve around and you're at the restaurant door! If you get lost, call me or ask any shop clerk. Non-Mandarin speakers can do the international charade to communicate: rub your stomach and quack like a duck.

If you wish to taxi, you can direct to Third Ring Road, Liangmaqiao or the Westin Chaoyang Hotel which is adjacent to Citymall. The concierge there can surely point you in the direction of Xiheyayuan Duck Restaurant, if you get lost. Chinese with (tone) pronunciation:
