So a colleague and I had to fly to MSY recently. I chose YUL (AC) IAH (CO metal, AC codeshare) MSY while he chose YUL (AC) YYZ (AC) MSY. For the privilege of one segment on AC, I got docked 10 credits. My colleague, flying two segments on AC, had to fork over only 6 credits. Makes sense? Not really.

Is it my problem that YUL-IAH is just over 1500 miles while YUL-MSY is less than 1500 miles, and that AC doesn't fly IAH-MSY? Guess so.

Very, very stupid. Why are the eUpgrades not calculated origin to destination in such a case, where a non-AC-metal codeshare flight is involved?
