I checked into getting a free ticket with miles to NBO and the surcharges were $550--on an $800 ticket. It is depressing. Needless to say, I see no point in spending that much money plus all my miles for one ticket. I'll use my miles for gifting tickets to my kids, if necessary...

It also makes no sense to me that the surcharges for a ticket originating in WAW going to TPA has a high surcharge but the otherway around, TPA-WAW doesn't have much of a fee. Same flights...even, just the opposite direction. Grr.
