Agreed about switching out - and it works quite well on my iPhone whereas it didn't work at all on my old BB because of its complicated settings. However, even on my iPhone there's a procedure to be followed immediately prior to leaving the country I'm departing and another to be followed immediately on arrival. If it is only just carrying only one more SIM and just card swapping. There is the procedure upon arrival and departure and redirecting you main contact point.
Most people who do business across SE Asia has more than one SIM on top of their home base one.
SIM wallets are sold at many street markets and travel specialty store to hold multiple SIMs but I have never seen them besides Ebay, DealExtreme in North America.
