A little demographic observation:

I was on CX 880, HKG-LAX on 24Jan. We boarded and then the captain announced we would be delayed for 30 minutes until the connecting passengers from the late arriving Delhi flight boarded.

I counted 51 passengers connecting to LAX from Delhi. I was surprised at the high number.

Checked in on Jan 3 for CX872 HKG-SFO 2:15 before actual flight time. Boarding number of around 330. Reason ? Many passengers already got their boarding pass in Bombay or Delhi. =) Given that there is no direct flight between India and West Coast U.S., CX and SQ are really popular for Indian passengers.
