A quick update on the newest F class seats gracing the CX fleet, fitted on the 346. Noticeable changes from those fitted on the 34C and 744:
- Softer seat cushioning
- Leather grey lining around the seat - specifically across the armrest housing the tray table and PTV control, and on the push-down armrest on the aisle side. Scheme continues on to the centre divider and also rims around the pod under the PTV.
- Gentler slope of the pod near the PTV (removal of the stretchy pocket located on aisle side, found on the 34C) giving the seat a less boxy look but also means that it's very easy for the duvet to trail out into the aisle near your feet when in a sitting position.
- Toilet moved from in front of 1K to in front of the closet in front of 1A, narrowing the aisle on the A side near the galley and door 1L
- Inside the 346 the cabin and toilet interior appears a lot sleeker and brighter.
Overall I found the 346 F cabin a little bit nicer than the 34C/333 one, although the differences are mostly subtle and mostly by virtue of the fact the 346 is newer. I may do a trip report later on my syd/hkg flight depending if I can find the energy. However, the loads were incredibly light up front - 4 in F and 12 (out of 60!) in J.
One of the J pursers actually came up to help in the F cabin because of the low numbers which made it slightly easier for the other two F pursers - whom incidentally were fantastic.
