It's a seasonal cutback, most likely. But the new seasonal cutbacks to LAS was part of the reason I stopped living there.. getting to ORD was becoming too difficult as a non-rev. When I moved in the Spring, it was down to 4 flights daily (8ish, 11ish, 2ish, and the redeye) and to me, that's just ridiculous. Meanwhile SWA operates something in the nature of 8-12 nonstops daily into MDW.
