I had a HUGE problem dealing with a ticket I purchased at 12:30 am EST for a flight leaving JFK and I life in NY.
Apparently the purchase time was set at 11:30 pm and when I FINALLY talked to someone at Delta refunds I was told this was because the financial institution who issued my credit card had their computers in the Central time zone, so they were one hour behind.
The Delta agent said that the Delta system goes by what the credit card computer tells them...
Is this really true? I HAVE NO IDEA...but that is what the Delta agent told me.
The one thing she did point out was the the email I received from Delta confirming the purchase was time stamped for 12:32 am...BUT in the body of the email if you look you can see that it does list the purchase time as 11:32 pm.
So whenever you purchase your ticket carefully look through your confirmation email as the time in the body of the email is the official time of purchase.
