Don't know why this is such a shock at a W, if you have ever stayed at one before. W's don't have lounges with free drinks and don't provide breakfast (even in Asia where this is the norm at other properties).
I always find it a bit funny when people say that they are not taken care of at W's as Platinum's when these benefits clearly don't apply at these properties.
