I am also a big fan of the TY Premier card for all the reasons mentioned above and for the most part use the same strategy. Currently earning 5 points per $ through October. Another big benefit is since this is a World MC, it provides CDW coverage in all countries and with zero forex fees. Recently saved me $90 in Jamaica which covered the $75 annual fee (grandfathered).
