Thanks Guy Betsy.
I think we will pass the upgrade chance on this trip. The return HKG-SFO was Y0 when I booked the ticket (though today it is Y4,B4,H2) so an upgrade would have made the flight more comfortable.

Regarding the OneWorld status: I was looking for information on dreamy stuff like higher priority on the upgrade list, double upgrade, op-upgrade etc.
