I have a question - I booked an Expedia trip from PDX > LHR then CDG > PDX. We leave next weekend (10/15). I initially thought that I was not going to get any frequent flyer miles for this flight because I was not part of any FF programs when I booked, but then I saw I could update my FF # via Expedia. I since signed up for Aeroplan and United MileagePlus and entered those numbers into Expedia. I did not sign up for Swiss Air because I will probably never book directly through them. Also helpful to know - at current I have no miles in either Aeroplan or MileagePlus (just signed up)

My question: Can I put my MileagePlus number in for all three segments since Swiss and Air Canada are in the same alliance as United? I'm thinking if I could, I would do that as I would be most likely to fly United in the future.
