is the JFK agent in BA uniform or CX's?

i guess it was BA staff....u should probably highlight the fact that there was a solution but it was not solved. that is bad service for CX standard.
(for the YVR-HKG leg u did it voluntarily, so as darren pointed out, u might not get any compensation - i wd have just take the seat and later argue for the jfk-yvr leg, if they r at fault they will most likely give u a longhaul upgrade anyway)

about 'he said/she said' thing... i think AA does have recording, and u can really trace out whether it was in the system and who/when deleted your reservation.

BA agent are courteous but tend to be slopy. she might have meant to fix the problem for you but she later forgot about it completely -- talking from my experience with BA culture in general. i once had my jacket left in the J-class closet while i deplaned in HK and the FAs were chatting among themselves and totally forgot about the jacket in the closet!!!(so did i, as it was hot and humid outside) -- i called BA while boarding AEL to arrange for my picking up in the lounge a couple days later
(BUT JFK BA agent are notorious, they are the worst BA agents in the world. but it seems that the lady had been nice to you, at least appeared to be)
