I think Hyatt could ameliorate this if they were to place even-more-upscale coffee and coffee maker in the room, and tout it on a card. Anyone who puts the coffee on before going into the shower gets it faster and more reliably than if it's down the hall. I think most people would appreciate it, and probably most Gold Passport members would infer that there was a lot of wastage and labor that went into the coffee in the hall, accompanied by the potential for unhappiness when it wasn't hot or refilled.

We are not talking about the coffe maker in the room, or a coffee you could get down the hall, we are talking about the complimentary coffee/espresso/tea that you used to get delivered to your room at the most upscale Hyatts (i.e. Park Hyatt's and some Grand) at least in Europe when ticking the box in the specific GP section of the breakfast order list which you'd hang at your doorknob the night before. These properties (such as PH Milan or PH Vendome) do not have a regular in-room coffemaker, btw...
