Don't forget the BMI option either, if you have Star Alliance status.
Thanks for that I hadn't thought about BA miles

True. But on the very rare occasions that Ryanair do cancel a flight, you will be just abandoned. They barely pay lip service to their legal obligations.
I've suffered that fate with them.
After that incident I resolved not to deal with organisations that treat customers with barely concealed contempt - I'd rather walk than use them ever again.

You also have the option of Cityjet (AF) from LCY if that's more convenient.
Thanks I've checked CityJet but they're pretty pricey in comparison but a good airline to keep in mind for future trips.

I've also suffered a similar issue with Ryanair in the past, a flight to Glasgow... their website said UK Driving License's could be used as ID for uk internal flights... security accepted it and as I got to the Gate and they denied me boarding even though I had my passport too (and the other line allowed someone on with a driving license, which people in my queue had told the lady who denied me), they said because I'd put driving license details on the boarding pass/checkin thing they couldn't let me on... then proceeded to yell at me in the middle of the airport because I'd asked them to pull up their T&C's on the computer that was in the departure lounge.

I won't go into details but I ended up having to may a large amount to another airline (I refused to pay for another Ryanair flight that day).

I have used Ryanair since then and actually had no problems but I still have a distaste for them because of that experience... it's just difficult when there's only £5 involved.

On one hand if both Ryanair and Aer Lingus do their job and the flights get there on time then I'm better saving £5 and going with Ryanair however if Ryanair are to pull a stunt like last time then I'd rather pay £5 more and go with Aer Lingus.

Does anyone of those airlines have a better on time arrival ?

So far I think I'm swaying towards Aer Lingus but probably because I've reminded myself of how rude Ryanair can be!
