There really isn't much to choose between the two these days.
Despite what you might read Ryanair is a very good airline to fly provided you follow the website instructions exactly - and its punctuality record is second to none.
Aer Lingus is a shadow of its former self - its FAs still think they're working for a national carrier and not a LCC - but competition is healthy on the London-Dublin route.
Frankly you're wasting you money with priority boarding on Ryanair.
