Thanks for the reply. I was looking at Jun/Jul 2012, not that it matters since there is not a single bookable Y/J reward seat available from Apr to Sep 2012. When you try a dummy booking, you can select flights but you can’t get any further as the error message comes up.
I’m thinking there must be an error somewhere but I guess all I can do is wait for them to fix it eventually. By comparison, no errors come up when booking reward seats to Shanghai which starts Mar 2012.
The only thing else I would suggest is put in writing what award seats you want and send it to Etihad saying the system isn't allowing you to book the seats. The Etihad phone customer service agents aren't great and I've had more success writing to them when I've had problems like that. The other option is if you live in a city that has an Etihad office to go there and state the problem (probably bring along a letter stating what you want if they can't fix it, but at least they can forward the letter).
