I do wish the meals were not round-trip catered though. It would be a slight gas savings (not having to fly it over and back) plus nice to have food that is slightly fresher.

correct its clear during booking. There are other airlines to choose if one so desires. Secondly regarding being catered in Hawaii...maybe not KOA or LIH but in OGG and HNL with the amount of flights to and from the 2 they not only need that but do need an AS employeed crew on the ground. There are less flights to Ohare and they have a staffed crew there!
