That's what I thought, too, when I read that article. But I didn't know it was way back in the 60s.

Quite interesting to read in the comment in the link Wasabi Tofu gave that JL operated a transatlantic for as long as five years. Longer than UA's second attempt to do the RTW via India.

JL didn't do the cabotage in the U.S., did they?
