Thanks for the tips. The baggage allowance is one thing that makes me want AC*P. That, and the 500-mile minimum for short flights. (Flying out of YQR to YEG, YYC or YWG results in me losing mileage with the change from 500 to 250 minimum).

I'm hoping to fly enough in 2012 to keep AC*P and I have a YQR-SYD flight planned for 2013 that, combined with my business travel that year, should give me AC*E (fingers crossed).

I finally found a route to YYZ through YWG to get me the segments on someone else's nickel (slightly cheaper than flying directly). I hate the longer days but at least I'm not spending any extra money.
