And some of the taxes on a paid ticket you see on ITA are a 7.5% excise tax on the price of the ticket. On a free ticket the excise tax does not apply.

The same ticket can be obtained with Skymiles for only $5 in taxes. As someone else said, ask AF for a breakdown of those $70.20.
