Have all my hotel points with Hilton so this is good news.

Though taking the free Heathrow Express to T4 and rolling right over to the Hilton on the skyway cannot be easier---no luggage hefting into naff buses for rides around the airport roads, etc.

That is, if this is still possible. Have not done it recently.

I stayed at the Sofitel overnight last time only because the Hilton T4 was full and had no choice.

Maybe the one near T5 will take some of the heat off the T4 Hilton--that could be a good thing for the T4H devotees!

As for the price of the Sofitel, not sure it's putting anyone off. The day I came over to check in, it was 20 minutes past the designated check in time and they were so packed full with guests the place was like a football stadium and said my wait wouldn't be "long."

I waited another hour to check in after that and they were mobbed and I had to take the lead to check back with them at the desk a couple of times, because they were overwhelmed. They were loaded to the gills.

p.s. No bank holiday, no weekend, just an average middle of the week day.
