It's absolutely fine to no-show from time to time. Some airlines have been known to take action of some sort when a passenger persistently fails to show for sectors when the fare for the sectors they did fly would have been higher than the fare they actually paid. This may take the form of deducting frequent flyer points or closing accounts, or for tickets booked through travel agents, issuing an agency debit memo.
