No, you were not mistaken. When they announced the changes and produced the new reward chart, Peru was unchanged. I saw the same thing. In fact, the redemption value for Northern South America is still 50/75k and Peru was in that zone. What AC has done is surreptitiously changed Peru to Southern South America at 60/95k... I saw no warning or announcement of this.

I am trying to wrap my mind around that the other *A members have not done so, I would have thought that consistency in the zones would have been the order of the day for an Alliance? And how this works out when different *A members have different countries in different zones?

Just another reason to abandon Aeroplan ... hey, could stay in *A and redeem Peru on one of the partners for less... or is there some way to use Aeroplan miles to redeem on CO or UA at their lower Peru is in Northern South America rates?
