I also agree that anybody willing to "pay" for an upgrade be it with miles, GPU, RPU should be ahead of anybody looking for a complimentary upgrade. Ofcourse if you have two people willing to "pay" then the person with higher status should trump the person with lower or no status. It seems that's the way it will be and that is completely fair. Even as a 1K I should not expect a complimentary upgrade if somebody else is willing to use their miles.
