the take home message i got is..... do call, ask what their bereavement fares are...and compare to what the TA and AC.com can offer.....

if you save a lot, go for the lower cost one.... If its marginal or minor, it might be worthwhile to buy from TA or AC.com and save yourself from the paperwork.
