I was passing through SFO (not flying CX) and noticed the CX plane was an A343 (not 346). That loss of capacity would explain some of the massive upgrading being reported. Wonder how often they sub the 343 on the route (presumably due to a mechanical with the 346, also the SYD route would get priority). More surprisingly the SQ plane was an A330 (!!!). Wonder if it was 2 class (most are)?
Presumably the return of 74B service at SFO will end the oversells (and op-ups).
