Thanks for the replies.

Let me make a ditinction. The allergy is to SHELLFISH (lobster, crab, shrimp, prawns, scallops etc.) FISH (salmon, halibut, sea bass, trout are OK). Shellfish allergy is extremly common and has been commented on by several others in these forums. To be safe I always travel with medication including a loaded andrenalin syringe just in case someone slips a little lobster sauce on the sea bass without telling me.

And yes I make the FA's aware of the situation and they are always helpful in telling me what to stay away from.

My point was that the only options offered by the CX menu were two shellfish-based dishes and one vegetarian. No fish, no chicken, no beef, no lamb, which was a bit of a surprise. I think there are perhaps a few passengers even without allergies who might find this a rather limited selection in F class.

My question was, is this a typical CX long haul "supper" menu (there is always a generous selection on the "dinner" menu) or an aberation of the caterers? If it is typical then I will be happy to know this and make other arrangements. Not complaining(it's hard to complain about CX). Just seeking a little information so I will know what to expect.
