Okay, the title pretty much gets to the point.

When walking through some food stalls I noticed a barnyard smell. I chalked it up to some of the weird food that was being prepared and sold. However, the next morning I added some black table pepper to my eggs at the hotel and it was THAT barnyard smell.

I actually dumped a bunch into a container so I could bring it home to show friends. FUNKY!

Does anyone know what the deal is? What kind of pepper makes such a horrible smell.
