First row in Premium Blue1 AF72 is 1, 14, 13, 2? Or How I got into the *A G lounge at ARN with Economy Extra (Z) on my boarding card.

Maybe you lurkers are interested in this. I had a booking on ARN-HEL the other evening on KF434 (Golden Air) on a AT72. I actually used optiontown and used some €35 to upgrade to Premium. Once the upgrade passed I checked my booking on Lufthansa and was able to pick the first row…at least what LH was offering was 14F (to the right window). However using the KVS tool and check the C cabin the first row was 4? And According to the later the 4F was taken. Otherwise it was wide open. Now we are talking 1 week prior to takeoff. According to seat guru the numbering starts at 1.
About five days left I check on LH homepage and my booking and suddenly 14F is no more first row. 13F is so I change to that.

22 hours prior to take off I checin on SAS and nothing over row 15 comes off. Only 17D is available. What in the ….. I checked in anyhow and got a boarding card stating 17D. At ARN the same night the check in agent could not do anything. She said the gate agent could maybe help. OK departure was at 2110 so I hoped my Diners could give me some free beer at the lounge but no no: “CLOSED 2000” Next door the SAS C and Gold lounges. I wore a tie so why not give it a try: “Economy extra” on the BC and a small “z” and me EB Silver….chances? Slim? Dragon scans and say “no no you need business or gold here sir…”

So I go down and get a Brooklyn lager for SEK79. Long and behold, half way through I hear my name being announced over the speakers ”Mr. XX please contact the SAS Lounge” What did I forget now? My wallet? I rushed over and finds the dragon apologizing for making wrong. Sir you are in z so please go ahead and she show me the direction to the *G lounge!!?? And suddenly I am in!!!!!!!!!! First time there. Got my self 2 GT, 3 glasses of wine and one 8cl famous goose w.

So to the gate and no no gate agent can do nothing. Onboard I can tell that row 1 is facing backwards but I took the seat 2F and could have my legs stretched all the way to HEL.
Service in Premium? Coffee and water!
