I respectfully disagree. If a company promises you something EVERY YEAR, then they should give it to you every year. Changing that is just bad business. If you think about the wording behind it stating Prem Ex for life makes sense because you always keep the status for your lifetime. If they said 2 Regionals for life would that mean you get 2 regionals to use for your life? That would be rather confusing because when do you get them and how often, which is why they clarified it and said at the "end of every year". They have to somehow define how they give them to you right??

Look with all the devaluing that has occurred especially in regards to confirmable upgrade instruments (1k’s went from 8 down to 4) then if UA really wants to have the best MM program then why not keep the best of both sides and give someone who has earned longtime loyalty the CO benefit of Spouse status and the UA one of annual Upgrades. They can’t really be losing much by giving the certs and probably will earn additional revenue from the person because they are a satisfied customer.

Additionally I couldn’t agree more with the other post above that MM status should be figured into the upgrade scheme. A 1k MM should clear before a 1K, a Plat MM should clear before a Plat. That just makes sense.
