So my end goal is SFO-CDG-SEZ / SEZ-CDG(stop)-SFO, but none of the SFO-CDG flights have space. Could I book IAD-CDG-SEZ / SEZ-CDG(stop)-IAD right now (since there's avail), then later when the SFO-CDG flights on AF open up (assuming they eventually do), swap those for the IAD-CDG, without losing my space on the CDG-SEZ-CDG legs?

Is the answer the same if I do something crazy like SFO-MSP-IAD-CDG-SEZ / SEZ-CDG(stop)-IAD-CVG-SFO right now, hoping to get on SFO-CDG non-stops later? Thanks!
