avek00,

What the heck are you going on about?

If you don't know the facts, its better to keep quiet Sir.

Your airline (CO) is in worst shape than the Asian airlines. SQ and CX are the most profitable airlines in the world and the same cannot be said about CO or any other American carriers can we?

I am sure you will agree that the traffic clump in Asia is not in airline's hands but to the SARS crisis.

It seems like you haven't looked at CX's balance sheet before making your comments. They can operate for another 2 years in the current shape and form. CX is one of the strongest airlines in the aviation business and I am confident they will weather the storm. They are taking all necessary steps to limit the impact and with a good management team (unlike those from AA, UA and CO who still cannot manage to operate their airlines at a profit), I am confident that things will turn around in the next few months and prove you wrong.

Sir, I beg that you read the financial reports before making any remarks on CX. They have a strong balance sheet to handle this crisis. They are in not in dire straits like US carriers. They have their "own cash" not banks or Governments money to burn. That's the difference.

Also worth pointing out is the fact that CX does not receive any special handouts from the Hong Kong Govt like US airlines have received. US carriers have been spoon fed and have been spoilt as a result. You won't find spoon feeding from Govt at CX. I have more respect for CX than any other airline in the world simply by the fact that they stand on their two feet and not pampered by their Governments like most airlines.

I am with CX all the way - forever and ever. I am a great deal of respect for these folks.

CX management- keep up the great up and let's see a recovery soon.
